Thanks for taking a moment to share your experience. When buying a "big ticket" item, it is comforting to know your funds are secure until the transaction is complete.
I'm not exactly sure what happened during the process on your boat, but I do know that occasionally a buyer and seller may renegotiate after a survey or inspection, based upon the results. Ultimately, that is up to both parties, and we can only assist. It is possible that the Seller in this case had already reached his floor on what he was willing to take.
